Here we are at beautiful Cania Gorge inland from Gladstone, we arrived planning to stay for a week or so, which has turned into four weeks. The reason for the extended stay was Len stepping in a hole on our third day and breaking her ankle, which is now in plaster. In order for the doctors to monitor her progress we have stayed in the area, and as she doesn't get around too well on her crutches we mostly stay around camp. We have taken a couple of drives around the area, but the best way is via one of the many walking tracks and those we can't handle. There are worse places to be stuck however, the birdlife is amazing, and there are many animals around also, possums, kangaroos and walibies as well as some cute little marsupials called betongs. I will post some photos of these wild neighbours for you all to see as well as a picture of len with her fancy purple cast.

A hearty welcome to all our good friends and to those we have yet to meet. For those who don't know what our nickname "Puyurias" means. It is a word used by Romani (Gypsy) people for people who are not of Romani blood but live the Gypsy lifestyle.

We have acted as medieval gypsies for some years now and have developed a great respect for the Romani people and their music and traditions and love the travelling life we are now living.
